Acquisition & Rebrand FAQ's

On July 21, 2022, Jetti announced that it entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Farfetch. This means that Jetti has now become a Farfetch portfolio company. Additionally, Jetti has rebranded to Onport. Onport will remain a standalone company, under the Farfetch Group umbrella.

Farfetch’s additional businesses include Browns and Stadium Goods, which offer luxury products to consumers, and New Guards Group, a platform for the development of global fashion brands. Farfetch offers its broad range of consumer-facing channels and enterprise level solutions to the luxury industry under its Luxury New Retail initiative. The Luxury New Retail initiative also encompasses Farfetch Platform Solutions, which services enterprise clients with e-commerce and technology capabilities, and Future Retail, which develops innovations such as our Connected Retail solutions.

This acquisition will enable us to strengthen our positioning in the market, and accelerate our enterprise marketplace solutions by continuing our investment in technology, expertise, and our vast partner ecosystem. In addition, we are excited to grow our global team to meet the accelerating adoption of the multi-vendor marketplace model.

With this acquisition, we felt the need to build a new identity that would incorporate all of the existing expectations of what our original mark stands for, while simultaneously moving the brand forward and demonstrating our overall evolution. As part of our rebranding strategy, our company name will change from Jetti to Onport. This name change is part of our strategy targeted to emphasize the strength of our capabilities, our growth, and our commitment to helping our clients brand identify their position in the marketplace.

In the beginning, we felt an affinity to the idea of being a “launching point” for different businesses - much in the same way a jetty can be for a ship. That is how the Jetti name was born.

In line with our new evolution, we arrived upon the name Onport which manages to maintain the shipping theme while still showing our new growth stage as a company.

Our platform will continue to be enhanced to meet the needs of you and your vendor partners businesses, and still deliver an exceptional multi-vendor experience for your customers. The acquisition with Farfetch will empower us further to expand upon our services, accomplish local and global growth objectives, and to foster and develop new client relationships. It is our mission to become the leading name in marketplace automation infrastructure, and through our partnership with FARFETCH, we are confident that we will exceed solutions and service expectations for our valued customers.

We will not be discontinuing any existing features or products. We are excited to add new features on a regular basis that keep up with this fast paced industry that continues to evolve.

There will be no interruption, and business will continue as normal. However, there might be some technical needs. Please check our Technical FAQ’s below.

This change will only further empower our ability to provide modern solutions to our customers and improve on the levels of service which we deliver to them. We remain deeply committed to delivering an exceptional marketplace solution for our current and future customer commitments.

There is no change whatsoever for our partners. Our partner relationships remain a key growth opportunity for our business and a valued component of our strategy to drive growth in the multi vendor marketplace industry.

We will keep evolving our offer to better support this market, and make changes to our pricing strategy. If you are an existing customer you won't be impacted by the changes and grandfathered into your existing pricing structure, at least, until end of this year. This is being done to help maintain the high level of service that Onport provides to marketplaces, and keep growing our internal teams that are vital to the success of our clients and the product that we make available for them

We a performing a commercial rebrand with minor impact on our technical offering. Technical change is that Restful Endpoints using jetti.io will now be available under onport.com

E.g api.jetti.io becomes api.onport.com

We recommend changing the list of domains under jetti.io to the list of equivalent onport.com ones as soon as possible.

During a grace period jetti.io will redirect to the equivalent onport.com endpoint.

This functionality will only work if your requests parameters are set to follow redirects.

Custom built connectors may require a change of API endpoint or support needs to be added to follow redirects.

External Packages that we provide will have new releases maintaining ABI and function call parameterisation changing only references to old jetti domains into onport.com ones.

This means that they should work as a drop in replacement of your existing modules.

Your existing tokens will continue to work under the new API domain and grant access.
